Golf’s Healthy Benefits

There is no doubt about it, playing golf is beneficial to your health and your heart. Think of how much you walk during an average round. It is between 3 and 5 miles of walking! Some people play more than just once a week. It does even more for you if you pull or carry your clubs too. All of this burns calories, builds endurance, and helps you stay fit.

It is always a good idea to stretch beforehand. Pay special attention to stretching your back, shoulders, and arms.

The problem some people are going to find right now is where you can even go to play:

“State-wide stay-home executive orders in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic might have you confused about whether golf is or isn’t allowed where you live or even near where you live. Enter the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America with a state-by-state list of where it’s still OK to play.”
